This F-35 Communication Building & Infrastructure Upgrade was a design/build new data center construction project with Secret and Top-Secret spaces. The F-35 program required a secured communications and data system to connect all the F-35 facilities on base. This was accomplished by a server farm with redundant power and redundant cooling systems.
The new comms building featured exterior shade trellises and entry canopy components, high efficiency mechanical and electrical systems and a continuous insulation/air barrier building envelope system. Site design included landscaping, storm water control systems, site grading, and pavement in accordance with geotechnical investigations, audio visual systems with integrated controls, training/classroom flexibility, and provisions for a roof-mounted Solar Photovoltaic system. Quality of life features included breakrooms with outdoor seating.
